Electro-Mechanical Technician
\n
Electromechanical Technicians maintain and repair electromechanical drives, sensors and automated machinery while working with maintenance and engineers to install and evaluate electromechanical systems to support the manufacturing process.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment including conveyors, automated machinery, CNC equipment, robotics, and material handling systems
\n
\n
\n- Troubleshoot complex systems using electrical schematics, PLC logic, mechanical drawings, and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement solutions
\n
\n
\n- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment following established schedules, including inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of components
\n
\n
\n- Work with electrical systems ranging from 120V to 480V including motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels
\n
\n
\n- Service mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, drives, and power transmission equipment
\n
\n
\n- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and building automation systems
\n
\n
\n- Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime and restore equipment to operational status
\n
\n
\n- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
\n
\n
\n- Ensure safety compliance by following lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards for all maintenance activities
\n
\n
\n- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance during planned downtime and communicate equipment status to supervisors and management
\n
\n
Qualifications
\n
Required
\n
\n- Technical degree or certification in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field (Associate degree preferred)
\n
\n
\n- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
\n
\n
\n- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with ability to work safely on 480V three-phase power systems
\n
\n
\n- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience servicing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power transmission equipment, and industrial machinery
\n
\n
\n- PLC experience - ability to read ladder logic and troubleshoot programmable controllers (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
\n
\n
\n- Blueprint reading proficiency - interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
\n
\n
\n- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug screening
\n
\n
Preferred
\n
\n- Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification
\n
\n
\n- VFD programming and troubleshooting experience with variable frequency drives
\n
\n
\n- Welding and fabrication skills for equipment repairs and modifications
\n
\n
\n- Robotics experience with industrial robots and automated systems
\n
\n
\n- CMMS experience using maintenance management software for work order tracking
\n
\n
\n- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge and continuous improvement mindset
\n
\n
