The team is currently supporting legacy FIS Profile DDA environments while contributing to major initiatives such as Profile upgrade assessment, ACH back-office enhancements, cash management integrations, electronic statement implementation, FX enhancements, audit controls, reconciliations, and market reference data interfaces.

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Jersey City, NJ, supporting a highly specialized deposit applications environment. The role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical legacy banking systems while helping guide assessment and discovery efforts for future platform upgrade or replacement initiatives.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Design, code, test, maintain, and enhance FIS Profile DDA application functionality across highly customized legacy environments.
  • Support Profile v6.2 / AMR99 and Profile for Windows application code used across multiple branch instances.
  • Provide technical expertise for development, QA, release, and production support environments.
  • Develop and modify MUMPS, Profile Scripting Language, and PowerBuilder code to support enhancements, fixes, and new business functionality.
  • Document code changes, complete unit testing, and prepare handoffs to QA, release teams, and business testers.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure development work follows appropriate standards for stability, maintainability, and quality.
  • Review vendor-provided fixes or enhancements before installation to validate quality and coding standards.
  • Support production issue investigation, including payment flows, system interfaces, data issues, and application/database maintenance.
  • Contribute to key banking initiatives, including Profile upgrade assessment, ACH back-office support, cash management enhancements, electronic statements, audit control improvements, reconciliations, and reference data interfaces.
  • Lead or support design workshops involving applications tied to Profile enhancements and integrations.

Do you bring proven success in FIS Profile DDA development and legacy banking application support?
  • 10+ years of senior-level software engineering or application development experience preferred.
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with FIS Profile DDA, specifically Profile v6.2 and AMR99.
  • Strong experience with MUMPS programming in a banking or core deposit application environment.
  • Experience with Profile Scripting Language and Profile application customization.
  • Hands-on PowerBuilder experience, especially supporting Profile for Windows / PFW front-end code.
  • Experience maintaining legacy, highly customized banking applications and supporting production environments.
  • Familiarity with development, deployment, and support tools such as UrbanCode, Perforce, and ServiceNow.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application, interface, data, and payment-related issues.
  • Strong documentation, unit testing, code review, and quality-control discipline.
  • Banking, deposit applications, DDA, ACH, payments, cash management, or related financial systems experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work closely with developers, QA, business users, release teams, vendors, and production support teams.
