Job DetailsThis role focuses on building and scaling the backend infrastructure that powers a rapidly growing platform. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to develop reliable distributed systems and deliver production-ready services that support ongoing growth.
Location: New York, NY 10001 On-site (1 day remote) No travel required
Platform Engineering Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend services
Build and maintain distributed systems supporting production applications
Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
Troubleshoot complex platform issues across services and environments
Collaborate with product, support, and customer teams to deliver new capabilities
Evaluate and introduce new frameworks or technologies when beneficial
Write secure, production-ready code aligned with industry best practices
Maintain high documentation standards for systems and services
Technical Background
5+ years backend engineering experience
Distributed systems development
Advanced Python development
Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred)
Relational database experience (PostgreSQL preferred)
Strong computer science fundamentals
Experience debugging complex system bottlenecks
Ability to independently deliver projects from concept through deployment
Clean code practices and technical debt management
Java exposure is a plus
