Are you curious about how complex software systems are tested and validated before they power some of the world's most advanced technology? As a Software Quality Assurance Intern, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software that supports ASML's industry-leading products.

As part of the Platform Software Quality Assurance team, you will contribute to testing activities across multiple software platforms. You will work alongside software developers, hardware engineers, and application engineers to evaluate new features, identify issues, and help improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle. This internship offers hands-on experience with modern testing practices in a complex, high-performance computing environment while giving you exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor technology.

Your assignment
  • Understand operating systems, relational databases, networking concepts, and client-server architectures.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with concurrent computing concepts and file system management.
  • Understand software development lifecycles and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Apply analytical thinking and numerical problem-solving skills to investigate software behavior.
  • Use programming or scripting languages such as Python, C++, Perl, or Shell scripting.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes effectively.
  • Communicate technical information clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for learning, coding, test design, and documentation while protecting confidential information.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, security, and relevance before applying them to engineering work.

Your profile
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Junior or senior standing, or graduate-level student.
  • Previous coursework, academic projects, research, or internship experience related to software development, software testing, or system engineering is preferred.
