We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into detailed documentation and ensuring alignment across teams for successful solution delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile environments, financial systems, and documentation best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements
Translate business needs into functional specifications and design documents
Create process flows, user stories, and detailed documentation
Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and analysts to ensure clarity and feasibility
Lead backlog refinement and ensure user stories meet “Ready” criteria
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
Maintain and manage documentation using Azure DevOps Wiki and markup languages
Ensure documentation quality, standards, and version control
Assist with testing, defect analysis, and validation of system functionality
Support UI/UX reviews and system design discussions
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
Experience in government, financial services, or retirement systems
Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies
Expertise in writing user stories and managing product backlogs
Strong requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation skills
Experience with process modeling, system testing, and SDLC
Proficiency in tools like Visio, Excel, and documentation platforms
Experience with markup languages (Markdown, Wiki Markup, reStructuredText)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with financial systems and regulatory environments
Knowledge of documentation standards and governance
Experience supporting system security documentation and compliance
Familiarity with UI/UX principles
