Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Modeler with strong Banking/Financial Services experience and hands-on Credit/Lending Data Modeling expertise.
This is a senior-level, business-facing data modeling role responsible for working across Data Programs, Lending/Credit business teams, and Enterprise Data Modeling teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and managing enterprise data models within banking environments, particularly across credit and lending data domains.
This is not a software development or coding position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data modeling activities across banking, lending and credit data domains.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Work closely with Lending and Credit business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Act as a liaison between Data Program, Lending/Credit and Enterprise Modeling teams.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable enterprise data models.
- Ensure data models align with enterprise data standards and architecture.
- Coordinate modeling deliverables, dependencies, reviews and approvals.
- Support data governance, metadata, lineage and data-quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with analytics and data-platform teams using technologies such as Databricks and Power BI.
- Provide leadership and guidance around enterprise data-modeling standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Senior/Lead Data Modeler or Data Architect.
- Strong Banking/Financial Services domain experience.
- Credit/Lending Data Modeling experience is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modeling.
- Experience with enterprise data modeling and data architecture.
- Experience with industry-standard data modeling tools.
- Familiarity with Databricks and Power BI.
- Strong delivery management and stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to work effectively with business, data, architecture and technology teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work onsite 3 4 days per week in Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX.
