Languages & Core Tech: Strong ABAP OO, BAdIs, Explicit/Implicit Enhancements, CDS Views, and SQL performance tuning.
MDG Architecture: In-depth knowledge of Hub vs. Co-deployment architecture in S/4HANA or ECC environments.
UI Frameworks: Advanced FPM, Web Dynpro ABAP, and basic/intermediate SAP Fiori / OData service development.
Business Rules Engine: Advanced BRF+ (expression types, decision tables, functions, and BAdI calls).
Integration Protocols: Application Link Enabling (ALE), IDocs, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and Integration Suite / CPI exposure.
Experience: 3 to 8+ years in hands-on SAP MDG technical development.
Project Exposure: End-to-end implementation lifecycle (Blueprint, Fit-Gap analysis, Build, Testing, Cutover, Go-Live support).
Domain Awareness: Functional familiarity with standard data structures (BP, C/V, Material, Finance) and backend tables (e.g., KNA1, LFA1, MARA, SKA1).
1. Data & Framework Modeling
Custom Data Modeling: Define and extend Data Models (reuse vs. flex mode). Create entity types, attributes, and relationships.
Feeder Class Customization: Implement and extend FPM (Floor Plan Manager) feeder classes (e.g., CL_BS_BP_GUIBB_* or custom classes) using the SPI (Service Provider Interface) or GENIL/BOL frameworks.
Governance APIs: Leverage MDG Governance APIs (IF_USMD_GOV_API, IF_USMD_MODEL_EXT) for programmatic Change Request creation, key mapping, and state queries.
2. UI & Process Automation UI Modeling & Enhancement: Design and modify UIs using Web Dynpro ABAP, FPM (OVP/GUIBBs), Fiori, and CBA (Context-Based Adaptations).
Workflow Configuration: Build dynamic, multi-step rule-based workflows (RBWF) integrated with BRF+ decision tables, single/parallel processing steps, and custom agent determination BAdIs.
Validations & Derivations: Implement complex data quality checks using BRF+ rules and custom BAdIs (e.g., USMD_RULE_SERVICE).
3. Integration & Data Replication
Data Replication Framework (DRF): Configure and customize DRF using IDocs, Enterprise SOA/Web Services, BAPIs, and RFCs.
Data Quality & Search: Configure HANA Enterprise Search, SDQ (Smart Data Quality), and duplicate check setups.
API & Service Layer: Build and extend OData Services and CDS Views for real-time analytics, external application integrations, and custom Fiori apps.
