Position Title: Outside Plant Technician Senior

Work Location: Detroit Arsenal, Warren, MI

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000

Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for an Outside Plant Technician Senior to join our rapidly growing team. The candidate will work within a cohesive team to support our Government customer. The employee shall maintain, install, move, and remove above-ground cable, including copper, coaxial, aerial, and fiber optic cable.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

• Test cables in accordance with plans and procedures prior to installation and completing forms.
• Splice cables and properly install splice enclosures.
• Troubleshoot cable solution problems
• Maintain compliance with all applicable building and fire code regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred or have equivalent experience
• Five to 7 years of experience performing OSP functions preferred

• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
• Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
• Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record may be required
• Occasional use of company vehicle while on work site

Security Clearance

Position requires a Secret security clearance.
