Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The candidate for this Backend/ETL developer position will be responsible for designing and developing batch/ETL interfaces using a proprietary metadata-driven approach. This role involves the maintenance and support of existing interface processes, including issue investigation, production troubleshooting, and maintaining data lineage to facilitate end-to-end traceability. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for liquidity report-specific derivations.
Responsibilities: - Design and develop batch/ETL interfaces using a proprietary metadata-driven approach
- Maintain and support existing interface processes including investigation of issues and production troubleshooting
- Maintain data lineage to facilitate end-to-end traceability as and when changes to the ETL
- Handle Liquidity report specific derivations
- Implement ETL solutions for large volumes of data by applying various data warehouse modeling techniques like Star Schema, Data partitioning, Data compression, and Direct path loads
- Perform application tuning using various tools like EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL*TRACE, TKPROF, AUTOTRACE and AWR Reports
- Maintain high standards and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance and general structure
Requirements: - 7-10 years' experience in Oracle Exadata, SQL, PL/SQL
- 2-3 years' experience in SQL Performance tuning
- Clear understanding of Oracle Server Process Architecture and memory structures PGA (Program Global Areas) and SGA (System Global Areas) to optimize memory usage
- Knowledge about Oracle VPD
- Expertise in performance profiling, ability to identify performance improvements and memory optimizations
- Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills
- Knowledge about Oracle architecture and process
- Knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms
- Experience with Analytic reporting tools like Tableau
- Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skills
- Experience working in Containers
- Knowledge about Python and Apache Airflow
- Experience in CICD, Jenkins, Git
- Experience working in Agile teams
Desired skills: - Experience working in regulatory projects
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
