Genesis10 is currently seeking a Principal UX Designer for our client in Eden Prairie, MN. This is a 9+ month contract-to-hire opportunity that is 100% remote.
Compensation: $75.00- 83.00 per hour, W2. Summary: The Senior UX/ Design Consultant will drive the strategic experience vision and hands-on execution of digital experience, content strategy, design, and key measures of user success in a dynamic healthcare organization. This role is pivotal in shaping how stakeholders will interact with their health plan - ensuring every touchpoint is intuitive, accessible, and impactful. The successful candidate will champion innovation, the use of AI alongside design, and foster a collaborative design culture, leveraging deep healthcare expertise to deliver meaningful outcomes at scale. They will contribute meaningfully to the culture of the technology and advisory teams, while also supporting our clients in addressing the most complex challenges in healthcare.
Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end user experience, content, and measurement strategy for digital products and services, aligning with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Simplify the complex: Take a multi-payer ecosystem and make it as seamless as possible for users to accomplish key tasks with high satisfaction.
- Lead with vision: Collaborate with Product on an end-state vision and experience principles, then craft compelling design concepts from marketing design standards to elevate the site's usability and engagement.
- Partner with Product to size and prioritize potential future features, and define a final Product Roadmap.
- Assess and define component needs for site features and user flows, collaborating closely with technical and product teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Audit site content and create a new high-level content strategy, in collaboration with a content specialist.
- Create a pattern library/design system upon which all future designs will be based.
- Act as a player-coach: execute hands-on UX research, design, and prototyping while mentoring and guiding other designers, and working alongside a multidisciplinary team.
- Design an advanced search function, including, but not limited to, predictive, faceted, and AI-driven search within a complex web experience.
- Champion accessibility and user-centric practices, embedding them into every aspect of the digital experience.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform design decisions and prioritization.
- Support future project expansion, new client exploration, and sales activities, along with the remainder of the project team.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI, or Graphic Design.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in UX, experience, or design leadership roles, with at least 4 years in healthcare payer or provider environments.
- Portfolio demonstrating successful execution of large-scale healthcare digital experiences, search function design, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Extensive experience in healthcare digital product design, with a proven track record of leading UX initiatives in complex, regulated environments.
- Expertise in UX research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), user journey mapping, and usability testing, with the ability to translate findings into actionable design solutions.
- Proficient in component-based design and adept at collaborating with AI tools, engineering, and product teams to deliver robust, user-focused features.
- Proficient in Figma and other design tools, and experienced in designing for CMS-based web applications such as Optimizely, Content Stack, Adobe, etc.
- Strong analytical acumen, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to guide strategy and measure impact and rationalize decisions to clients and teams.
- Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and ethical design in healthcare contexts.

- Skilled in consulting/agency work: meeting billable expectations, setting and achieving client expectations, creating a network of partners and building relationships, establishing evidence-based points of view, and advocating for best practices.
