This is a fixed-term position lasting 12-18 months.The HR People Partner provides day to day HR support for a defined employee population, acting as a primary point of contact for routine people related needs throughout the employee lifecycle. The role focuses on applying established HR practices, supporting consistent policy application, and contributing to a positive employee experience. The People Partner works independently on routine matters and collaborates with HR functional partners on more complex topics.
This position requires practical HR knowledge, sound problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees.
Local Position Duties- Provides guidance on people matters, including performance concerns and local policy application, with support from senior HR partners on employment law topics.
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior HR partners or specialist HR teams as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR data to support compliance with local labor laws and internal governance standards.
- Assist in the deployment of annual HR programs including performance reviews, compensation planning, talent processes, and employee engagement activities.
- Handles routine to moderately complex HR matters that require review of multiple inputs, with guidance from senior HR partners on broader or sensitive issues.
- Recommend and implement small-scale improvements to HR processes, practices, or systems to enhance efficiency or employee experience.
- Applies existing HR policies and practices to routine and moderately complex situations, with support from senior HR partners on exceptions or risk areas.
- Assists managers with routine people management needs, including performance discussions and day to day team changes.
- Manage employee relations anticipating possible issues and suggesting action plans.
- Maintains an understanding of the client group's operations, priorities, and team dynamics to support managers and employees.
- Ensure applicable legislation is adhered to.
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Education, Training and Experience- Bachelor degree required: Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- No previous experience required

- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization

Travel Requirements: Domestic travel: 5%
The estimated salary range for this role based in Utah is between $68,000 - 84,000. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
