We're looking for an experienced Java Full-Stack Engineer to support a critical customer-facing application used by phone bankers for customer and account maintenance. The platform supports approximately 80% of call-center volume, making reliability, stability, and effective production support essential.

This role is best suited for an engineer who enjoys maintaining and enhancing existing enterprise applications while also delivering new business functionality. Candidates must be comfortable working with legacy technologies, including Spring MVC and JSP.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Java-based applications.
  • Develop new functionality based on customer and business requirements.
  • Support customer authentication, account access, and account-maintenance initiatives.
  • Contribute to the "Smart Start" initiative involving youth accounts, permissions, and account management.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs within a service-driven architecture.
  • Develop and maintain user interfaces using JSP and JavaScript.
  • Support production issues and ensure application reliability and stability.
  • Analyze complex technical challenges and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders located in the U.S. and India.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to both production support and new development initiatives.

Must-Have Skills
  • 5+ years of Full-Stack Java development experience
  • Strong hands-on Java development experience
  • Strong experience with Spring MVC
  • Experience developing user interfaces using JSP and JavaScript
  • Experience designing, developing, or integrating REST APIs
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy enterprise applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and production-support experience
  • Experience supporting high-volume, customer-facing applications
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed U.S. and India-based teams
  • Willingness to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio, three days per week

Interview Process
  • One technical interview
  • Approximately 90 minutes
  • Includes a coding assessment

Location and Schedule
  • Columbus, Ohio only; this requirement is non-negotiable
  • Hybrid schedule with three days per week onsite
  • Standard working hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Scrum/Agile team environment

Pay Range: $70 - $75

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
