Position Title: MHS Data Systems Solution Architect

Location: Remote (U.S.), Tysons Corner, VA, or San Antonio, TX
Travel: Up to 1–2 times per year for team meetings

Position Status: Full Time

Pay Rate: Up to $115,000 annually (flexible for senior candidates)

Position Description:

We are seeking an MHS Data Systems Solution Architect to support enterprise healthcare data initiatives within a large federal healthcare environment. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable data and automation solutions that improve healthcare revenue cycle operations, analytics capabilities, and data quality across MHS GENESIS systems.

The ideal candidate brings experience in healthcare data architecture, analytics platforms, and automation technologies such as AI/ML or robotic process automation (RPA). This role partners with technical teams, operational stakeholders, and healthcare leadership to design solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enable data-driven decision making.

This position plays a key role in modernizing healthcare revenue cycle systems and implementing emerging technologies across enterprise healthcare data environments.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement data, analytics, and automation solutions supporting healthcare revenue cycle operations
• Design and support AI/ML, advanced analytics, and RPA solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual workflows
• Lead solution design, requirements gathering, and technical architecture planning for healthcare data initiatives
• Develop technical artifacts including architecture documentation, design specifications, and implementation roadmaps
• Ensure solutions meet HIPAA, federal security, and healthcare data governance requirements
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, analytics, and IT teams to implement scalable healthcare technology solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and operational performance across healthcare systems
• Develop executive-level presentations and business cases demonstrating solution impact and operational improvements
• Support KPI development and performance monitoring across healthcare revenue cycle initiatives
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams, healthcare stakeholders, and program leadership

Required Skills/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Experience supporting MHS GENESIS, Oracle Cerner, or similar enterprise healthcare systems
• Experience designing or implementing healthcare data architecture, analytics platforms, or enterprise data solutions
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, automation platforms, or robotic process automation (RPA)
• Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), healthcare data workflows, or financial analytics
• Experience working with federal healthcare programs or government healthcare environments preferred
• Knowledge of data governance, healthcare data security, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA)
• Strong ability to collaborate with technical teams and operational stakeholders
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with UiPath or other RPA platforms
• Experience supporting healthcare analytics or data modernization initiatives
• Experience working in federal healthcare or Department of Defense healthcare environments
