As a Supervisor in our Hematology department, you?ll lead laboratory operations, develop team members, drive quality initiatives, and help ensure the delivery of accurate, timely results that directly impact patient care.

This full-time opportunity is on second shift.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Hematology department, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory testing.
  • Supervise, develop, and support laboratory staff through coaching, training, competency assessment, and performance management.
  • Provide technical oversight for moderate and high-complexity testing, including review of patient results, quality control, and corrective action when needed.
  • Maintain departmental quality assurance, quality control, safety, compliance, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Manage departmental resources, including supplies, inventory, expenses, and equipment needs.
  • Partner with laboratory leadership and serve as a technical resource to support operational goals and foster a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service.

All you need is:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Medical Technology (Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science); OR qualifies as a supervisor under current CLIA regulations.
  • Six (6) years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in a laboratory performing high-complexity testing. Candidates with a Master?s degree must have four (4) years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in a laboratory performing high-complexity testing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, with experience performing high-complexity testing in Hematology.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and with minimal supervision.

Bonus points if you?ve got:

  • Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory.
