The Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Copilot Tech Lead provides technical leadership for the design, architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise business solutions across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft's AI ecosystem. This role translates complex business needs into secure, scalable, supportable solutions including AI-powered applications, conversational agents, workflow automation, and intelligent customer-service capabilities. The Tech Lead guides engineering teams and delivery partners, establishes technical standards, and works closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and operations teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.



Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical discovery and solution design for Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot, and Azure-based initiatives; convert functional and nonfunctional requirements into architecture, delivery plans, and implementation guidance.Set technical direction and engineering standards for the team, including design patterns, code quality, security, performance, reuse, testing, documentation, and supportability.Lead development and deployment of custom Copilots and AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and, where appropriate, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI services; apply prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding, and evaluation practices.Design and deliver integrations between Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services, enterprise applications, APIs, and knowledge repositories.Guide configuration and customization of Dynamics 365, including forms, views, dashboards, business process flows, navigation, web resources, ribbon customizations, and application solutions.Provide hands-on technical leadership for C# plug-ins, custom workflows, JavaScript/TypeScript extensions, XRM development, OData/Web API integrations, and custom APIs.Oversee delivery of model-driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and CRM portal or related portal solutions.Ensure solutions follow enterprise security, privacy, data governance, accessibility, and responsible AI practices; identify and manage technical risks and dependencies.Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, estimates, testing strategy, release readiness, incident/problem resolution, and production support for critical solutions.Guide source control, branching, build and release automation, CI/CD, and application lifecycle management using Git/GitHub and Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling.Mentor developers and technical team members, promote knowledge sharing, and coordinate effectively with architects, PDO teams, QA, product owners, vendors, and business stakeholders.Assess platform updates and emerging Microsoft AI capabilities; recommend improvements that enhance business value, reliability, user experience, and operational efficiency.



Skills RequiredCRM experience, AIPGEE, Connectivity/integration experience, Microsoft Azure, Strong development experience with JavaScript and C#, Jira and GitHub, Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot



Experience Required15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, and technical solution delivery, including significant technical leadership responsibility.Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including architecture or solution design, configuration, customization, development, integration, and deployment.Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations from discovery through production support.Strong development experience with C#, .NET/ASP.NET, JavaScript and/or TypeScript, Dynamics 365 plug-ins, custom workflows, XRM Framework, and OData/Web APIs.Experience building solutions with Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate, and business process flows.Practical experience with integrations using REST/Web APIs, custom APIs, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, or comparable Azure integration services.Experience with Git-based source control and Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and ALM practices.Ability to communicate architecture and technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences, and to lead collaborative Agile delivery.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and integrating Copilot or conversational AI capabilities into Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, knowledge grounding, AI agent design/orchestration, and methods for evaluating AI quality and safety.



Experience PreferredExperience with Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services, Microsoft AI SDKs, and enterprise conversational AI or virtual assistants.Experience applying generative AI to business workflows, customer service, employee productivity, recommendations, or insight generation.Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Omnichannel, customer-service operations, portals, and enterprise knowledge sources.Experience with platform governance, environment strategy, identity and access management, data protection, observability, and production operations.



Education RequiredMaster's Degree
