Senior Observability Engineer / Analyst

1. Administer, maintain, and optimize the Dynatrace platform (SaaS/Managed), including alerting policies, anomaly detection, management zones, tagging strategies, and monitoring configurations.
2. Serve as the primary Dynatrace Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and platform best practices to engineering and operations teams.
3. Design, develop, and maintain operational, application, infrastructure, and executive dashboards using Dynatrace and DQL to deliver actionable observability insights.
4. Create, optimize, and troubleshoot Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) queries for monitoring, reporting, root-cause analysis, and performance investigations.
5. Deploy, configure, and support Dynatrace OneAgent across Windows and Linux Azure virtual machines, Kubernetes/AKS clusters, and Azure Function Apps.
6. Design, implement, and manage Dynatrace ActiveGate infrastructure for traffic routing, Synthetic Monitoring private locations, extension execution, and secure connectivity requirements.
7. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot OneAgent and ActiveGate extensions to ensure complete visibility across custom applications, services, and infrastructure components.
8. Implement and support OpenTelemetry (OTEL) instrumentation and data collection for Azure Function Apps, cloud-native workloads, and custom integrations.
9. Partner with application, platform, cloud, and DevOps teams to identify monitoring gaps, improve observability coverage, and enhance platform reliability and performance.
10. Perform proactive monitoring, alert tuning, data-quality validation, and continuous platform improvements to ensure accurate telemetry, reduced noise, and effective incident response.

Required Qualifications:

• Dynatrace Associate Certification (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace administration and observability engineering
• Experience with ActiveGate deployments, DQL, Azure, Kubernetes/AKS, Windows/Linux environments, and OpenTelemetry
• Dynatrace Professional Certification preferred
• Azure and/or Kubernetes certifications are advantageous.
