Summary
Role: QA – Automation Engineer
Duration: Contract
Location: San Jose, CA (3 days work from office)
Job Description:
- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language:
- TypeScript / JavaScript preferred
- Python or Java also acceptable.
- Strong understanding of Playwright concepts
- Strong experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, JavaScript, and web application architecture.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and source-control practices.
- Hands-on experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle and test management processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
