Summary
Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial automation, sensors, and controls solutions, is seeking an Application Engineer to join their technical team in Malvern, PA. This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting customers, and applying innovative sensor and control technologies to solve real-world manufacturing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for industrial sensor, automation, and control products.
- Assist customers with product selection, application development, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to sensors, controls, PLCs, and industrial equipment.
- Support internal sales teams with technical expertise and application recommendations.
- Conduct product demonstrations, testing, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer service teams to ensure customer success.
- Stay current on emerging automation, sensor, and controls technologies.
- Document technical solutions and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of a 2-year technical degree; Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with industrial sensors, controls, automation systems, or instrumentation.
- Experience supporting applications within a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and support new technologies.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of technical support, applications engineering, field service, or related experience.
- Experience with PLC programming, HMI systems, SCADA, automation controls, or machine integration.
- Machine repair, maintenance, or industrial equipment experience.
- Customer-facing technical support experience.
