Salary: $200,000.00 USD Annually - $210,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to join an internal enablement-focused engineering team supporting a modern, enterprise SaaS platform within the financial technology space.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Embed with engineering teams to enable best practices in observability, CI/CD, and application security
Coach developers on implementing logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and reliability standards (SLOs/SLIs)
Guide design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling and progressive delivery strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flags)
Enable secure software delivery by integrating security scanning, secrets management, and secure coding practices into pipelines
Help teams automate safe, frequent deployments with monitoring and security built in by default
Identify and reduce operational bottlenecks impacting release velocity, MTTR, and system reliability
Create reusable templates, documentation, and "golden path" examples to promote self-service adoption
Track and demonstrate improvements using delivery and reliability metrics
Facilitate workshops, pairing sessions, and knowledge sharing to build long-term team self-sufficiency
- Qualifications & Requirements:
Education and/or Certification Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience
Relevant cloud, DevOps, or security certifications are a plus
Experience Requirement
7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles
Hands-on experience working across CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation
Management Requirement
No direct people management required
Proven ability to influence, coach, and lead teams without formal authority
Process Oversight Requirement
Experience improving software delivery and operational processes
Familiarity with deployment metrics, reliability engineering concepts, and continuous improvement practices
Specific Skills Requirement
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
Experience with observability tooling (metrics, logs, traces)
Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security scanning integration
Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
