Application Security Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

Application Security Engineer, IBM Corporation, Dallas, TX (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

• Conduct regular vulnerability scans on both the vendor third party and in-house custom built code.
• Analyze and act on findings from vulnerability scans.
• Create and maintain a Globalization Privacy Assessment (GPA) of the Twistlock service which ensures compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations.
• Onboard internal teams, provide guidance on resolving vulnerabilities, and maintain clear documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer queries and support issues related to the in-house Twistlock service.
• Implement and test disaster recovery plans to ensure quick restoration during outages.
• Monitor Twistlock infrastructure resource usage, perform data back-up as needed to ensure the continued performance of the service.
• Make enhancements to the inhouse code to support bug fixes and customer feature requests.
• Utilize Cloud platform, Programming scripting, CI/CD automation, Compliance standards (NIST, CIS, ISO), Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Sysdig.

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer, Cloud Software Developer, Security/Compliance Specialist, DevSecOps Engineer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Cloud platform, Programming scripting, CI/CD automation, Compliance standards (NIST, CIS, ISO), Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Sysdig. $116,452 to $160,000 per year. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
