Entry-Level Cable Technician (Level 1) - Data Center ProjectLocation: Castroville, TX (On-site)

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00/hour

OverviewWe are seeking
Entry-Level Cable Technicians (Level 1) to support a large-scale
data center project for a leading, undisclosed technology client. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and grow within the low-voltage industry.
Key Responsibilities- Install, pull, and dress copper and fiber optic cabling (Cat5/Cat6)
- Label cables and manage materials for installation
- Assist higher-level technicians with daily tasks
- Set up and maintain cable pathways (tray, wireway, buss duct)
- Build and organize telecom closets (racks, patch panels, cross-connects)
- Perform terminations (110/66 blocks, patch panels)
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Climb ladders and work in elevated or confined spaces
- Support grounding and installation of equipment as required
Required Qualifications- Minimum 6 months of cabling experience OR completion of a low-voltage trade school program
- Basic knowledge of copper/fiber cabling and installation practices
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification during onboarding
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience- Previous experience in construction or low-voltage environments
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and practices
Work Environment- Data center / construction setting (client name confidential)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 40 lbs)
- Ladder climbing (up to 20 feet)
- May operate equipment such as lifts or telehandlers
- Moderate noise levels and physically active role
