Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer with strong Developer Experience (DevEx) focus to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a solid development background along with hands-on experience in building secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of automation, security integration, and platform engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
- Enhance Developer Experience (DevEx) by building self-service platforms, automation tools, and reusable infrastructure modules.
- Integrate security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, test, and release processes.
- Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and integrate SAST, DAST, and container security scanning tools.
- Monitor system performance and implement observability solutions (logs, metrics, tracing).
- Ensure adherence to enterprise security and governance policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8-10 years of overall IT experience with strong DevOps and DevSecOps expertise.
- Prior developer experience (Java, Python, .NET, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience implementing security tools like SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, Prisma, or similar.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and DevSecOps frameworks.
