W2 Contract-to-Hire, 12 months
Location: Hybrid (3 days per month in-office; occasional client meetings)
Overview:
Work with a leading organization in the healthcare industry to serve as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) on client and employer group reporting. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between complex health claims data and business strategy by helping client management teams and employer groups navigate reporting tools, interpret metrics, and derive actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Cedargate reporting and analytics platform.
Assist client management staff and external employer groups in navigating standard report libraries, understanding metric definitions, and answering complex data inquiries.
Analyze healthcare claims data, including medical expenses by category, chronic condition impacts, and population demographic trends.
Collaborate with backend technical staff to translate unique business requirements into custom reporting requests when standard reports fall short.
Package analytical findings and static report outputs into clean, executive-ready PowerPoint decks and Excel summaries for client presentations.
Participate in occasional on-site client meetings to walk stakeholders through reporting stories and data breakdowns.
Required Qualifications:
3 to 4 years of hands-on experience using the Cedargate reporting platform and 5+ years of general healthcare reporting analyst experience.
Strong functional understanding of healthcare claims data, health plan expenses, and population health metrics.
Proven experience in front-end reporting usage, data interpretation, and stakeholder communication (this is a functional analysis role, not a backend software/database development position).
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel for building slide decks and manipulating report outputs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex reporting metrics to non-technical client teams.
High school diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience utilizing Cedargate specifically for employer group reporting.
Prior experience supporting Client Management or Account Management teams within a healthcare or benefits setting.
