Summary

Position: Snowflake Consultant (AI / Cortex)
Location: Atlanta, GA (onsite)
Duration: Long-term contract
 
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Consultant with hands-on AI/ML experience, specifically Snowflake Cortex, to design, build, and optimize data and AI solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud. The consultant will work with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data pipelines and AI-driven use cases.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain data solutions on Snowflake, including data modeling, ingestion, transformation, and performance tuning.
  • Build and deploy AI/GenAI use cases using Snowflake Cortex (Cortex LLM functions, Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, Cortex AISQL).
  • Develop ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables.
  • Implement Snowpark (Python) solutions for data engineering and ML workloads.
  • Build RAG-based and natural-language-to-SQL solutions on enterprise data.
  • Optimize query performance, warehouse sizing, and cost management.
  • Implement data governance, security, RBAC, masking, and compliance controls, which matter especially in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Create technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in data engineering/analytics, with 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex and its AI/LLM capabilities.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (Snowpark).
  • Experience with data modeling (dimensional, data vault) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and integration with Snowflake.
  • Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as dbt, Airflow, or similar.
  • Understanding GenAI concepts: prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, RAG.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SnowPro Core or Advanced certification.
  • Experience with Streamlit in Snowflake.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms.
  • Prior experience in pharma, life sciences, or other regulated industries (GxP, HIPAA awareness).
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
