Java Backend developer (Kotlin)

Role:                    Java Backend developer (Kotlin)
Location:             Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Job Description:

·       Expertise with Java/J2EE, Springboot, Kotlin.

·       Expertise with building RESTful APIs

·       Thorough understanding of JSON, Web Service technologies, and data structure fundamentals

·       Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

·       Confirmed experience with object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages

·       Should have knowledge on Agentic AI

·       Knowledge on code quality parameters and GIT branching concepts.

·       Knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle/DB2, Cassandra / Couchbase).

·       Knowledge of Automated testing concepts using Selenium, REST Assured, Cucumber and CI/CD concepts with and exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, GIT.

·       Expertise in agile life-cycle management tools (JIRA/Rally), software testing standards, methods and conventions.

Roles & Responsibilities

·       Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs. 

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement features that meet business needs. 

·       Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring smooth operation under high load. 

·       Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation. 

·       Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 

·       Troubleshoot and debug production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. 

·       Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluations new tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity. 

·       Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage backend services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

·       Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
