Our client is looking to hire a QA engineer. This individual will support expanding software and data initiatives by creating structured test plans and writing test cases from scratch. The role is primarily manual testing but includes building the foundational automation framework needed for long term scalability. The engineer will collaborate closely with IT and development teams, requiring the ability to read and understand Python, JavaScript, and SQL. Responsibilities include ensuring strong user experience, documenting processes, assisting with SOPs from an IT standpoint, and establishing QA structure in a newly created role with significant opportunity to influence future testing standards.
Required Skills:
2+ years of QA or software testing experience
Experience creating structured test plans and test cases from scratch
Strong manual testing background
Automation experience with ability to build foundational automation frameworks
Ability to read and understand Python, JavaScript, and SQL
Strong communication skills to teach developers and document processes
Ability to evaluate user experience and provide objective testing insights
