Contract Duration: 6 Months Possible Extension Based on Performance

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. The Data Engineer will focus on building and maintaining data platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and cloud-based solutions that support Halliburton's energy industry software products.

Mandatory Skills:

5+ years of relevant software/data engineering experience.
Oil and Gas experience preferred.
Strong experience with Python.
Strong SQL development experience.
Data Modeling.
ETL/Data Pipeline Engineering.
AI/ML Frameworks.
Cloud Platforms including Azure and/or AWS.
Strong Software Development fundamentals.
System Design and Architecture.
Full-stack exposure, with Angular/Node.js preferred.
Experience with data pipelines, data integration, and data quality.
Experience with cloud-native data and AI solutions.
Experience with LLM and Generative AI solutions is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Develop and manage end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.
Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives.
Design and deploy cloud-native data and AI solutions.
Implement LLM and Generative AI solutions, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases/search, and prompt orchestration pipelines.
Ensure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and scalability.
Participate in architecture decisions for enterprise-scale platforms.
Collaborate with software engineering, data science, and product teams.
Develop scalable and reliable data solutions for enterprise applications.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
