About the Role
Our client, a fast-growing technology company, is looking for a curious, energetic, and innovative Senior Software and AI Engineer to join its Strategy and Transformation team. You’ll lead the technical design and delivery of intelligent AI agents and full-stack applications that support Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and Data Center Operations, integrating with systems such as ERP, HRIS, MRP, PDM, and DCIM.
This is a high-impact role for an engineer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with applied AI expertise, and who can turn ambiguous business needs into reliable, scalable solutions.
What You’ll Do
You’ll independently own complex applications and AI workflows from discovery and architecture through deployment and ongoing operation. You’ll make technical decisions, evaluate implementation options, and set patterns that improve reliability, security, and development speed. You’ll work with AI frameworks and APIs such as LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Gemini, and Glean; iPaaS platforms such as Workato or Boomi; React-based interfaces; and backend services in Node.js, Go, or Python. You’ll also mentor engineers and partner with business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI agents, copilots, and first-party applications
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, weighing tradeoffs across functionality, cost, security, performance, and maintainability
- Design and build web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks, with mobile experiences where needed
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and event-driven workflows for data processing, orchestration, and automation
- Integrate applications and AI agents with enterprise systems such as ERP, HRIS, MRP, DCIM, and data warehouses, directly or through Workato or other middleware
- Implement reliable AI workflows, including retrieval, tool use, evaluation, failure handling, and appropriate human review
- Own production readiness and operational quality: testing, observability, access controls, incident resolution, and performance optimization
- Build reusable components and engineering patterns that speed up delivery across the team
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on guidance
- Use AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Codex to accelerate development while maintaining quality
- Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Security, and Engineering stakeholders to define outcomes and deliver user-centered solutions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications or cloud services
- Strong system design skills, with the ability to architect scalable, reliable, and secure applications, AI agent workflows, and enterprise integrations
- Strong proficiency in one or more of TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, C#, or C++, with both frontend and backend experience
- Proven ability to independently own complex projects from technical design through production deployment and support
- Strong experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications using LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, FastAPI, or Node.js
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, observability, and operational reliability
- Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a FAANG / Magnificent 7 or similarly large-scale technology company
- Experience delivering enterprise AI agents with tool integrations, evaluation frameworks, audit logging, and human approval workflows
- Experience with Workato, Boomi, or other enterprise integration platforms
- Familiarity with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, or other operational domains
- Experience with data engineering or distributed processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or Ray
- Experience building reusable services or shared components adopted across multiple applications
- A strong product mindset, with attention to user experience, adoption, measurable business value, and long-term maintainability
