About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Design, develop and test new software applications and product features with a particularized focus on security, scalability, performance, and reliability. Build software services that are resilient, optimally monitored, alerted, and self-healed by applying software engineering practices to operate the site. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and veracity of data pipelines. Perform software system troubleshooting in eBay networks (TCP/IP) and code. Utilize object-oriented programming techniques using Java to create robust applications using simplified, reusable code. Apply programming and scripting languages using Python to create asymmetrical product layouts to improve machine learning software products. Configure newly designed product features for implementation into portable, multitasking, time-sharing operating systems and mobile devices. Telecommuting permitted - work can be performed from anywhere within the U.S.
What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Sciences or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Sciences or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $136,297.00-190,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
