Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Linux infrastructure while supporting automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives. This role requires deep experience with Linux system administration, configuration management, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Linux Systems Administration:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
  • Troubleshoot Linux system failures and restore systems to operational condition.
  • Manage authentication services using Centrify and Kerberos.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code:
  • Develop and maintain automation using Ansible for configuration management, application deployment, and infrastructure orchestration.
  • Create and distribute Ansible content through Ansible Galaxy.
  • Provision infrastructure and automate server deployments using Terraform.
  • Administer and support Ansible Automation Platform (or AWX) for enterprise-wide automation.
Infrastructure & Platform Management:
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines to manage server lifecycle across bare-metal, virtual, and cloud environments (highly desired).
  • Administer Splunk infrastructure, including indexers, search heads, and forwarders.
  • Support cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies such as S3 and EC2.
Required Skills 
  • Strong experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, including playbook development and automation workflows.
  • Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
  • Experience administering Ansible Automation Platform or AWX.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex Linux system issues.
Highly Desired
  • Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines for server lifecycle management across hybrid environments.
Additional Skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team across diverse technical projects.
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation to support operational systems.
