Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Software Engineers to join our engineering team in Dallas, TX, for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidates will have strong software development fundamentals, programming experience, and a passion for building, testing, debugging, and maintaining reliable software applications.
In this role, you will contribute to new feature development, defect resolution, production support, application performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of software engineering practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement solutions, improve system reliability, and automate manual processes.
Candidates must be available to work onsite in Dallas, TX, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Apply software engineering principles, techniques, and best practices to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software products.
Develop new features, enhance existing functionality, and resolve software defects.
Perform code debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability.
Evaluate new features and technical solutions to determine their suitability for strategic and tactical business requirements.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve planned and unplanned production issues in coordination with engineering and business teams.
Support application maintenance, operational activities, and ongoing production environments.
Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to system stability and efficiency.
Document and implement change control procedures and best practices for system configuration, development, testing, maintenance, and data integrity.
Collaborate with other software engineers, technical teams, and stakeholders to design and deliver new features and enhancements.
Identify opportunities to improve development workflows, engineering processes, and operational efficiency.
Apply modern software development practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
Develop and improve automation to reduce manual processes and streamline software delivery.
Follow version control, code review, testing, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of software development principles, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Go, or similar.
Knowledge of modern software development frameworks, libraries, and platforms.
Understanding of software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect management methodologies.
Experience using version control systems, particularly Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated software build, test, and deployment processes.
Ability to troubleshoot application issues and support production environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Ability to manage development tasks, defect fixes, and operational support activities.
Willingness to work onsite in Dallas, TX, five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise application development and software maintenance.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaborative development workflows.
Experience with automated testing, code quality tools, and continuous integration practices.
