• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and cloud services using Python and AWS.
• Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Build event-driven applications and integrations using Kafka.
• Develop and manage application workflows using AWS Step Functions.
• Monitor application performance, logs, and operational health using AWS CloudWatch.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions for scalable and highly available cloud applications.
• Work with existing Java-based applications while developing and modernizing cloud-based solutions using Python.
• Troubleshoot application and cloud-related issues and provide effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.

• 14+ years of overall software development/engineering experience preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud development.
• Strong Python development experience, preferably 5+ years.
• Strong previous experience with Java development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Lambda.
• Strong backend and application development experience.
• Proficiency in API development / REST APIs.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Strong understanding of AWS CloudWatch and Step Functions.
• Strong system design and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining production code.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on with development.

• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience migrating applications from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Experience with serverless and cloud-native application architectures.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience modernizing legacy Java applications into Python/AWS cloud solutions.
