Summary
Title: Software Architect – Advanced
Work Location: Fully Onsite in Columbia, SC
Duration of the Contract: 12 months
Interview Process: 1 round, in-person
Possibility for Extension: Yes
Candidate Location: No South Carolina residency required. Open to nationwide candidates; must be able to work eastern time zone hours. All travel-related costs for onsite work will be the responsibility of the resource, regardless of the frequency of onsite work.
Scope of the project: Under limited supervision the employee will design, develop, test, configure, implement and provide top-level support for the ServiceNow platform used by ITSM stakeholders in the Department of Admin. The employee will research third party/cloud solutions to ensure successful integration of the technology and provide knowledge transfer to team members. They will be deep application and technology skillset subject matter experts. The Sr. Software Engineer plays a critical role in mentoring Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers to ensure we are growing future talent

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintains the three environments (Dev, Test, Production) of ServiceNow for Admin, including
- Create, maintain and enhance forms, workflows, cloud integration and 3rd party integrations to the ServiceNow platform. Including automation and/or additional self-service features and functions.
- Incorporate ServiceNow capabilities to create a unified framework for multi-cloud resource
Required skills (must include years of experience, in order of importance):
- Strong knowledge and experiencing managing/developing a large scale ServiceNow environment
- ITSM concepts and Framework
- Server API Development
- Powershell
Required Education:
- A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science, Management of information science, or related
- field, and two years of hands-on experience with implementing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), OR an associate degree in communications, business administration, computer science, management information science or a related field and four years of hands-on experience with implementing ITIL.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to communicate and gather technical requirements from customers.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, users, management, vendors and other officials
