Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer / Apache Druid Developer with strong expertise in database development, Apache Druid administration, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Druid clusters in large-scale analytics environments and a strong background in the Telecom domain, preferably with experience supporting Verizon-related environments.

The role will be responsible for administration, maintenance, performance tuning, capacity management, high availability, scalability, data integrity, and query optimization of Apache Druid environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Apache Druid clusters supporting large-scale analytics platforms.
  • Monitor Druid cluster health, availability, capacity, and overall performance.
  • Perform database and query performance tuning to optimize analytical workloads.
  • Configure and manage Druid clusters for high availability and scalability.
  • Monitor resource utilization and perform capacity planning based on current and projected workloads.
  • Troubleshoot Druid-related performance, availability, ingestion, and query issues.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across Druid environments.
  • Manage Druid ingestion processes and troubleshoot data ingestion issues.
  • Analyze query performance and implement optimization strategies.
  • Perform routine maintenance, configuration changes, upgrades, and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with development, data engineering, infrastructure, and analytics teams to resolve database and platform issues.
  • Support production environments and participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and database support runbooks.
  • Follow enterprise security, availability, and database administration standards.
  • Support large-scale analytics workloads within a Telecom environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in database development, database administration, or related technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Druid.
  • Experience administering, maintaining, and tuning Druid clusters.
  • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Experience with PL/SQL and MySQL.
  • Experience working with large-scale analytics and distributed data platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with database capacity management, high availability, and scalability.
  • Telecom domain experience is required.
  • Experience supporting Verizon environments is highly preferred/required.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Irving, TX from Day 1.
