  • Visit customer sites to gather information and support project kickoffs or pre-sales reviews.
  • Provide informed estimations of labor and materials.
  • Participate in the development and management of department processes, including CAD library functionality, operating procedures, software tools, and design methods.
  • Maintain current knowledge of electrical and related safety standards as they apply to control panel design, build, machine safety, and machine wiring.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of controls estimation experience, with 8-10 years preferred.
  • Experience with performance management is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or trade school equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting controls systems using platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, GE, or Square D.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls networks such as Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, or DeviceNet is a plus.
  • Proficiency drafting electrical designs using AutoCAD.
  • Experience coordinating with project managers on assigned projects, coordinating with vendors or third-party suppliers on pricing or project support, and guiding electrical installers or other project support personnel.
