Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager IT to oversee complex projects related to warehouse management systems and ensure their successful delivery. This long-term contract position is based in Southern California and requires onsite work four days a week. The role demands exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a strong grasp of project management methodologies to drive progress and meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, focusing on warehouse management systems like Manhattan.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth collaboration and communication throughout project lifecycles.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor project scope, budget, and schedules, addressing any changes or risks proactively.
Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders, ensuring systems align with compliance regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley.
Present project updates, risks, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders with clear and impactful communication.
Oversee system processes and ensure adherence to compliance standards and best practices.
Analyze project performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to address challenges and drive progress.
Stay updated on advancements in warehouse management technologies to apply innovative solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience managing projects involving warehouse management systems, preferably Manhattan.
Strong familiarity with AS400 operating systems and the Aldon Change Management tool.
Solid understanding of communication protocols in AS400 systems, such as handheld scanners and voice technologies.
Certification in Project Management or completed recognized project management training is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
Experience in supply chain processes, such as inventory management and distribution center operations, is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
