Volt is immediately hiring 1st Shift Jr. Project Manager for a local leading manufacturing company in Carlsbad, CA.

As a 1st Shift Jr. Project Manageryou will:

Job Description
  • Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Qualify leads by assessing customer requirements and determining appropriate solutions.
  • Educate customers on company capabilities, products, and services, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with prospects and customers to ensure engagement throughout the sales process.
  • Guide customers through the sales cycle, address objections, and assist with closing opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize account growth and customer retention.
  • Manage and update CRM records, ensuring accurate documentation of customer interactions and project status.
  • Review and manage purchase orders, create work orders, and provide project status updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and project-related communications.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, sourcing, operations, and business development teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review RFQs, blueprints, CAD files, BOMs, and customer specifications.
  • Analyze manufacturability, production feasibility, and cycle times for customer projects.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and pricing for high-mix, low-volume manufacturing opportunities.
  • Interpret technical drawings, GD&T requirements, CAD models, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling company capabilities.
  • Provide customers with design-for-manufacturability feedback when applicable.
  • Attend tradeshows, conferences, customer meetings, and facility tours as needed.
  • Support administrative activities, including distributing mail to HR and Accounting departments.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety procedures and promote a positive work environment.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

This is a full time opportunity. 5 days a week. 8+ hours per day.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
    • 1+ years of experience in customer service, project coordination, technical sales, inside sales, account management, or a related role.
    • Ability to review and interpret RFQs, blueprints, CAD files, BOMs, and technical specifications.
    • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or technical environment preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build customer relationships.
    • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    • High level of professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction.
    • Ability to travel up to 5% for tradeshows, conferences, and customer visits.
    • Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications
    • Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant technical background.
    • Experience reviewing technical drawings and GD&T requirements.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, or additive manufacturing.
    • Previous experience or interest in 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing.
    • Experience providing design-for-manufacturability recommendations.
    • Background in estimating, quoting, project management, or technical sales.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Pay Rate: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
