We are seeking a dynamic and driven Design Engineer specializing in HVAC/Mechanical Systems to be a part of our growing team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and play a key role in shaping the future of our engineering services.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilizing your strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing systems, and general building mechanical operations to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions.
2. Reading and interpreting mechanical and plumbing drawings to ensure all designs are accurate and meet the necessary specifications and standards.
3. Using Revit, AutoCAD/CADD, and Microsoft Office (Excel) to effectively design, model, and document all engineering projects.
4. Serving as a design professional in project team design meetings, providing engineering expertise and technical guidance to ensure all designs are efficient, effective, and feasible.
5. Preparing complex preliminary redline design layouts to support project estimating and planning, ensuring all designs are optimized for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
6. Collaborating with various cross-functional teams, including project management, construction, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure all designs align with overall project objectives and timelines.
7. Continuously staying updated on the latest industry trends, technology, and regulations to ensure all designs are compliant and innovative.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Systems design, with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing systems, and general building mechanical operations.
3. Proficiency with design software, including Revit, AutoCAD/CADD, and Microsoft Office (Excel), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software.
4. Excellent ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Proven experience in preparing complex preliminary redline design layouts to support project estimating and planning.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain complex design concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
7. A proven track record of successful project completion, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
