Our client is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale next-generation AI-powered applications. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about leveraging artificial intelligence to create innovative products.
The ideal candidate has deep backend development experience in Node.js or Python, strong database expertise, and a proven track record of delivering production-grade software. Experience building AI-enabled products or using AI tools to accelerate software development is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js or Python.
- Build secure, high-performance APIs and distributed systems.
- Design and optimize relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Contribute to frontend development when needed using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Integrate LLMs, AI APIs, or machine learning capabilities into applications where appropriate.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews and technical design discussions.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and/or Python.
- Extensive experience working with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and scalable cloud-based applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and best engineering practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Frontend development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
- Experience building AI-powered products using technologies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, vector databases, RAG, or similar AI frameworks.
- Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve development workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
