Salary: $110,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer (AI)
Location: hybrid, 4 days a month to Edgewater Park, NJ
Experience - ~5 years of relevant experience
Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports
Partner with business stakeholders and non-technical users to gather requirements
Provide guidance on AI readiness, specifically:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Creating and evolving AI agents
Help position reporting and analytics for an AI-enabled future
Required SkillsPower BI - Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining reports
- Dashboarding, analytics, slicing/dicing data
Business Analysis- Liaising with internal customers
- Translating business needs into reporting solutions
AI Readiness- Understanding of Large Language Models
- Experience or strong interest in building agents
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot (currently in use)
Team & EnvironmentPart of
Enterprise Data & ArchitectureExisting team of
2 in-house developers; looking to expand
Highly analytical team supporting:
- Merchandising
- Finance
- Taxation (e.g., state-specific tax filing reports)
- Sales performance and operational reporting
Works closely with:
- Data Governance
- Data Scientists
- Data Analytics teams
Focus on insights from multiple perspectives:
- Merchants
- Stores
- Enterprise leadership
Strong customer focus is critical
Candidate should be proactive and engaged with AI evolution
Ability to guide and influence AI strategy while building alongside the team
Azure experience is a nice-to-have
