Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level ETL Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, databases, data integration, and programming, with an interest in building and maintaining reliable data pipelines.
This position offers an opportunity to work with enterprise data platforms and collaborate with data engineers, analysts, application teams, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Extract data from databases, APIs, files, and other source systems.
- Transform and cleanse data according to business requirements.
- Load data into data warehouses and analytical platforms.
- Write and optimize SQL queries.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation.
- Troubleshoot failed or inaccurate data loads.
- Monitor data pipeline performance and identify issues.
- Assist with data-mapping and source-to-target documentation.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Business Analysts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes.
- Support testing and deployment of data integration solutions.
- Follow established data-quality and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in data engineering, ETL, database development, or related areas.
- Strong SQL fundamentals.
- Understanding of relational databases.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts.
- Basic programming experience in Python, Java, or similar language.
- Understanding of data structures and data-processing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar ETL tools.
- Python for data processing.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Git/version-control experience.
- Exposure to Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
