Search Platform Architect

Introduction

The Search Platform Architect will play a crucial role in defining and implementing a long-term technical vision for the search platform. They will lead a team of search engineers, introduce advanced capabilities such as NLP, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align search initiatives with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a long-term technical vision for the search platform
• Mentor and guide a team of search engineers through technical reviews and best practices
• Introduce advanced capabilities such as NLP, vector search, and personalization
• Build search capabilities with measurable KPIs and continuously improve search performance through data analysis
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to align search initiatives with business objectives

Requirements

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
• 10+ years of experience with 7+ years in search engineering
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong understanding of modern search technologies and frameworks
• Experience with building low-latency APIs and NLP
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with version control tools like GitHub
• Experience operating in an Agile / Global team environment

Preferred Skills

• Working experience with heavy equipment engineering or data analysis
• Experience in building low-latency APIs in AWS using memory-storage solutions
