Data Scientist / Senior Data Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Scientist/Senior Data Analyst in Brooklyn, NY.

Summary:
We are seeking a curious and analytical Data Scientist/Senior Data Analyst to help drive business decisions through data-driven insights. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings that influence product and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and actionable insights
* Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and business teams to support strategic initiatives
* Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments
* Develop clear, concise reporting and visualizations to communicate findings
* Transform raw data into meaningful business recommendations
* Ensure strong data governance, documentation, and analytical best practices
* Support decision-making through statistical analysis and predictive insights
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics processes, tools, and methodologies
* Mentor team members and share knowledge across the analytics community

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or related analytics role
* Strong experience analyzing large and complex datasets
* Expertise in SQL and proficiency with Python and/or R
* Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis
* Experience in an eCommerce environment
* Experience supporting or partnering with Machine Learning teams
* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
* Strong problem-solving skills and a naturally curious, data-driven mindset
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
