Summary
Role Overview
The client is seeking an EDI Expert to support healthcare claims processing, EDI transaction management, provider onboarding, and claims adjudication activities within a healthcare environment. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for EDI processes, collaborate with technical and business teams during a .NET system modernization initiative, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data exchange standards. The job is open to candidates within the 100 miles radius of Indianapolis, IN.
Key Responsibilities
• Review, update, and maintain documentation related to claims processing and EDI transactions
• Analyze and document undocumented or incomplete claims processing and EDI workflows
• Serve as the EDI and claims processing SME during the migration of a legacy system to .NET
• Act as liaison between business and technical teams to resolve claims processing issues
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and functional teams on project deliverables
• Perform testing of new and existing applications and system enhancements
• Ensure accurate EDI file exchanges with external trading partners and resolve transmission issues
• Provide support for EDI claims transactions and troubleshoot complex issues
• Assist healthcare providers, clearinghouses, and external partners with onboarding and integration activities
• Support production operations and helpdesk activities related to healthcare claims processing
