Job Title: Senior IT Business Analyst

Job Location: San Jose, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $74.90hr - $89.88hr

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management and Requirements:

Lead discovery sessions to elicit, translate, and document complex business needs into clear technical specifications (User Stories, PRDs, and Process Maps).
Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project health.
Map current ("as-is") and design future ("to-be") business processes
Work with business leaders to define project scope and objectives
Facilitate regular meetings across stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.

Technical Partnership and Quality Assurance:

Collaborate daily with developers to clarify requirements and remove blockers.
Assist the engineering team by defining acceptance criteria and performing functional testing to ensure the "Definition of Done" is met.
Identify and document edge cases that stakeholders might have missed.

Project Leadership:

Act as a de facto Project Manager for smaller workstreams, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
Prioritize the backlog based on business value and technical feasibility.

AI Adoption, Training, and Enablement:

Create and disseminate clear documentation, best practices, workshops, and training materials to help employees get the most value out of the available AI tools.
Drive Adoption: Develop and execute strategies to encourage widespread user adoption of AI tools.
Develop Expertise in Prompt Engineering: Master the skill of writing effective prompts to get desired results from GenAI tools and train others to do the same.
Foster a Culture of Learning: Promote a culture of continuous learning by creating AI adoption communities and making the successes of early adopters highly visible.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, with a proven track record of supporting the full SDLC. Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies. Strong understanding of AI platforms, conversational interfaces, and enterprise knowledge systems.

Communication:

Exceptional ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical people and business goals to engineers.

Testing Rigor:

Strong experience in functional testing, regression testing, and identifying logical gaps in software workflows.
Proficiency in ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, and wireframing tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Figma, or Miro), GenAI tools (e.g. Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot)
A "get-it-done" attitude with the ability to pivot between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
