Job Details

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Manage all full-cycle accounting functions for the custom homes/construction division
Process accounts payable and vendor payments
Manage accounts receivable and collections
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform month-end and year-end close activities
Process payroll and payroll tax filings for approximately 10 employees and contractors
Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
Process ACH payments and cash management activities
Assist with tax-related reporting and compliance requirements
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Help organize accounting files and improve accounting processes when appropriate
Work closely with ownership and accounting leadership on financial reporting needs
Support accounting operations for custom home construction and general contracting projects

Qualifications Needed:
Degree not required (A plus!)
Minimum 7+ years of full-cycle accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
Recent experience using Sage 300 or a recent Sage ERP platform is a MUST!
Experience within construction, custom home building, general contracting, real estate development, or a related industry
Strong background in AP, AR, payroll, payroll tax filings, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end close
Experience maintaining general ledger integrity and preparing financial reports
Proven ability to independently manage the accounting function for a business unit or small company
Comfortable working in a mature, process-driven environment that may not be fully paperless
Ability to identify process improvements while maintaining a collaborative and respectful approach
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
