Job Summary
NextEra Energy is seeking a Salesforce UX Designer who can seamlessly blend strategic thinking with hands-on design and research execution. In this role, you ll help shape the future of our digital experiences particularly those built on Salesforce by leading user research, crafting experience frameworks, and ensuring the solutions we deliver are intuitive, efficient, and grounded in real user needs.
You ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, designers, and software engineers to align user goals, business priorities, and technical realities. Some days will focus on steering strategic direction through research and experience roadmaps; others will involve usability testing, synthesizing insights, or reviewing designs to ensure high-quality, human-centered outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone curious, confident in their craft, and comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Strategy & Direction
- Conduct ongoing user research to guide Salesforce experience priorities and product direction.
- Create and evolve personas, journey maps, and experience frameworks to support decision-making.
- Contribute to experience roadmaps by connecting user insights with business value and technical feasibility.
- Align stakeholders around goals, experience vision, and clear definitions of what good looks like.
Execution & Delivery
- Plan and facilitate usability testing, design reviews, and feedback sessions for Salesforce workflows and digital tools.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research; synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
- Identify experience challenges, uncover root causes, and propose practical, user-centered solutions.
- Support discovery activities and research that inform both short-term delivery and long-term strategy.
- Translate insights into artifacts (flows, maps, design guidance) that teams can easily use.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand needs, constraints, and success measures.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure design intent is upheld throughout Salesforce implementation.
- Serve as a connector between business, design, and development teams reducing friction, increasing clarity.
- Present findings and recommendations with clarity, transparency, and user-centered rationale.
Emerging Tools & Ways of Working
- Explore and pilot new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted research and design support.
- Stay curious about how AI will shape future experiences while applying thoughtful, responsible judgment.
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor s degree in UX, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Strategy, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years in UX, digital strategy, product design, or human-centered research.
- Must have some experience with Salesforce Design, Knowledge of Figma
- Strong foundation in Human-Centered Design principles, research methods, and experience synthesis.
- Experience supporting both strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional, delivery-focused, agile environments.
- Salesforce UX or workflow design experience is a strong plus.
Tools & Ways of Working
- Proficiency with Figma for design collaboration and reviews.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar tools; experience working within agile/sprint-based teams.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled research or design tools, with willingness to experiment and grow.
