Mulesoft Architect

We are looking for a Senior Mulesoft Architect/Engineer for a 6 month+ contract. This is an On-Site position in Tampa, Florida. This is also a W-2 contract Opportunity.
Description: Our client is undergoing a huge S4 Hana migration through 2027. They need to bring on someone with expertise in both mulesoft and SAP to be able to support all of the integrations and APIs that will need to be updated. They have the roadmap and governance built out by the team and will provide guidance, but need someone to come in and help make key decisions, work independently, coordinate with teams who own the applications and who use the APIs. They can't take their lead and move them to the project, so this person needs to be Senior to come in and own that project from a Mulesoft perspective. They are going to start the actual work in June and want someone to start know to begin knowledge transfer and hit the ground running. They are moving from ECC to S4 Hana and have a lot of customizations and a lot of integrations. They will be taking existing Mulesoft APIs, updating and testing those, providing guidance to engineers where needed. They have 150+ queries in Hana that will all need to be migrated to Mulesoft APIs. They do a lot of reusability, so where it makes sense want to plug it into an API that already exists,

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

• Lead the architecture and delivery of the MuleSoft integration platform supporting the SAP S/4HANA migration program, ensuring all existing Mule APIs are successfully migrated or adapted to support S/4.
• Define and implement API-led connectivity architecture using MuleSoft to enable seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA, enterprise applications, and external systems.
• Collaborate closely with SAP implementation teams, business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to coordinate integration design, API migration strategy, and system dependencies during the S/4 transformation.
• Take end-to-end ownership of integration migration activities and ensure successful deployment to Production.
• Lead the assessment and rationalization of existing Mule APIs and integrations, identifying required changes to support SAP S/4HANA data models, services, and business processes.
• Define and manage integration migration roadmaps, including API redesign, versioning strategies, backward compatibility, and phased rollout during S/4 deployment.
• Provide recommendations for modernizing SAP integrations where applicable.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight during development, testing, and deployment of MuleSoft integrations supporting SAP S/4.
• Partner with SAP functional teams to understand business process changes and ensure MuleSoft integrations support the future-state enterprise architecture.
• Design custom MuleSoft frameworks or policies as needed.
• Prepare solution design documents, architecture diagrams and integration specifications.
• Define high-level migration strategies and transition plans for existing integrations to align with the S/4HANA architecture and enterprise API strategy.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
