Essential Job Summary::
TheManager of FleetMaintenanceis responsible foroverseeing the Brooklyn Site Maintenance Shop and managing a team of technicians, welders and administrative personnel whoare responsible forthe preventive maintenance and repair of fleet equipment. The Maintenance Manageris responsible forprovidingdirectionsto a team of technicians. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring maintenance policies and procedures to ensure that all repairs and maintenance of Interstate Waste Services/ Action Environmental Service?s equipment, including trucks, containers, and other heavy-duty equipment, are performed in compliance with the Company\'s safety and compliance standards, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.

- Providedirectionsto technicians, welders, and administrative personnel to ensure that all repair/ maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, andtimelymanner, reallocating resources among sites asappropriate. Oversee coordination, planning & scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity, while effectively managing department\'s overtime. Monitor theshopsoperational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect activities appropriately. Report to Leadership on shops\'performance; implement procedures for process/programmatic changes for improvement orefficiency.
- Manage daily shop safety meetings; fleet walk-arounds; coaching and counseling of maintenance team personnel and conduct corrective action, when necessary; make hiring/ termination decisions in concert with Human Resources and appropriate management; oversee employee training and performance evaluations; evaluate, recommend and approve maintenance personnel recommendations for merit increase, promotion and job changes, as appropriate.
- Maintain an on-going preventive maintenance program for all shops withinareasof responsibility.Identifytrends in road calls/breakdowns; oversee maintenance of building and other facility needs on site; control maintenance costs relating to personnel,purchasing, inventory control and outsourcing of repairs.
- Perform inspections of outside repairs and maintenance to ensure all work is properly completedin accordance withCompany safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations; follow up whereappropriate.Identifytraining opportunities and, as necessary, document issues and constructively discuss corrective action, as needed, with maintenance personnel.
- Accountable for scheduled Quality Control Inspections, trackissuesand resolution to ensure all work is properly completedin accordance withCompany safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems of heavy equipment and vehicles used by Company to ensure ability to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions, on site and on road, including: Advanced engine chassis repair and maintenance; Advanced knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to maintain and repair vehicles in a timely and safe manner; Advanced knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to effectively diagnose and repair complex heating and cooling systems in vehicles in a timely and safe manner; and Advance knowledge of welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and as safely as possible.
- Manage related administrative matters for team, including payroll, maintenance of employee records, records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, recording of all information into Maintenance Software, prepare and submit budget for approval, set departmental goals to align with company targets and performance objectives established by leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications::
- At least 5 years ofexperience as a Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor for a large fleet of vehicles or multiple site locations requiring knowledge and application of OSHA Haz Com and OSHA Lock Out Tag Out.
- 3 years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.

- Automotive Service Excellence T2 Diesel Engine, T Master Certified. T3 Drive T4 Brake TS Suspension and Steering.

Salary Range Minimum: USD $110,000.00/Yr. Salary Range Maximum: USD $140,000.00/Yr.
