Position: Solution Architect – OTC & Financial Systems

Location: San Jose, California

Work Model: Onsite (4 Days/Week)

Time Zone: PST (West Coast)

Duration: 6–12 Months Contract

Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Solution Architect with deep experience in Order-to-Cash (OTC), Finance, and ERP/CRM transformation to lead architecture and solution design for enterprise transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Finance, with an understanding of how ERP, CRM, Billing, Revenue, and downstream financial systems work together across the end-to-end OTC lifecycle.

 Key Responsibilities
Lead solution architecture for OTC, Finance, ERP and CRM transformation initiatives.
Define and architect end-to-end OTC processes including Quote, Contract, Order, Fulfillment, Billing, Invoicing, Payments, Collections, Revenue Recognition, and Renewals.
Provide architecture leadership for D365 Finance / Finance & Operations and its integration with CRM, Salesforce, billing, payment, tax, revenue, and other enterprise platforms.
Define current-state and target-state architecture, solution blueprints, integration patterns, and technology roadmaps.
Assess existing business processes and systems and identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, automation, consolidation, and modernization.
Lead cross-functional architecture discussions across Finance, Sales, Operations, IT, Product, Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture.
Translate business and financial requirements into scalable, secure, and practical technology solutions.
Define data flows, APIs, integrations, system boundaries, and ownership across the enterprise ecosystem.
Identify architectural risks, dependencies, gaps, and trade-offs and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
Provide architecture oversight throughout design, implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.

 Required Experience
15+ years of experience in Solution/Enterprise Architecture, with strong experience in OTC and Financial Systems.
Proven experience in D365 Finance / Finance & Operations or comparable enterprise ERP platforms.
Strong understanding of end-to-end OTC and Finance business processes.
Proven experience delivering large-scale ERP/CRM and Finance transformation programs.
Experience integrating D365 with CRM, Salesforce, Billing, Revenue, Payment, Tax, and other enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration, APIs, data architecture, security, and modern cloud architecture.
Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Ability to bridge the gap between business process, functional requirements, and technology architecture.

Good to Have
Experience with D365 Sales, Customer Service, Finance, or related Microsoft business applications.
Experience in ERP/CRM consolidation, modernization, or platform transformation.
Knowledge of revenue recognition, subscription billing, financial close, AR/AP, and financial reporting.
Experience with cloud platforms and modern integration architectures.
Relevant Microsoft or Enterprise Architecture certifications
